Sheltered by mountains

Gathering of tiny suns

Petals turned to light.

Before sun blossoms

Colors soak both earth and sky

Mountains bathed with light.

Curtain of branches

Concealing waterfall’s path

River weaves through trees.

Trees cover mountains

Green haze of billowing leaves

A strange forest fur.

Night falls in forest

Colors crashing into stream

Washed into darkness.

Wisps of clouds clinging

Holding last colors of sun

Smoke from sky’s fire.

As days grow shorter

Summer flowers slowly fade

Bee lingers longer.

River flows through grove

Slower where water widens

Rushing through narrows.

Stretching across sky

Filling vast ocean of air

Mountains dwarfed by clouds.
